Like most people, I wear many hats.
Wife and Mother
My husband, Greg, and I have been married for 32 plus years and have two adult sons. We keep busy with church, school, work, family time, travel, friends and fun. For the most part, we are the typical family with all the ups, downs, woes and joys that go with living life. Our family values are based on Christ. I thank God every day for the blessing of my family. This role is listed first because after God, my family is most important in my life. The remaining roles are in a somewhat chronological order.
Teacher
After receiving my BA in Education from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill I became a school teacher for grades 7-10. My main subjects were Economics/Government.
Business Woman
After my husband and I moved to Chicago, I transferred my teaching skills to the corporate world. For the next 10 years I worked my way up through recruiting, human resources, management, corporate training, and curriculum development. I stepped away from the business world to be a full time mom and from there went into ministry at Fellowship Church. I returned to the corporate world in 2012 and am currently the Director of Diversity and Inclusion for a large company here in the Dallas area.
Licensed Pastor/Ministry Leader
Back in 2000, our move to Texas led our family to join Fellowship Church in Grapevine, TX. After two years of volunteer leadership I was hired to be on staff full time and there became a Licensed Pastor. During my eight years on staff I worked in many different areas of ministry including Small Groups, Adult Learning, Women’s Ministry and Special Events. Though I stepped down from being on staff, our family remains active members of Fellowship and we love being a part of the Fellowship family. I enjoy volunteering as a teacher and leader in our women’s ministry), Newcomers Classes, and University of Next Level.
